Man, things were really starting to look up. Valentina was in preschool, sleeping regularly and managing to keep herself from getting hurt. There was…time. Not a lot, but 30 minutes here and there that my wife and I could do anything else. We were really starting to think about hobbies: Dania had her sewing machine and I was going to the gym and thinking about flying airplanes.
We are expecting again. When I tell you that I don’t know how this happened, I don’t mean that I don’t know how it happened. What I mean is, I don’t know how this could have happened since we have been together for 8 years and not once had an ‘uh oh’! We know what we are doing, Valentina was completely planned from conception to delivery. This one, came out of nowhere.
Here we go again. So long sleep. Maybe we will get lucky again and I will see you 3 months after delivery (or not). Goodbye hobbies. It was so fun to do all of the things that I wanted to do. Money? I never knew him anyway. I doubt I will miss what I never had. Do you know that feeling that you get right before you have to get a mole removed or tooth pulled? I’m feeling that.
What happens here now? Well, I have a pile of drafts that were never completed and a notebook full of more ideas. I didn’t add much anyway in the last few months except pictures just to keep the feed alive. Do I really know what I’m talking about? This time around, I won’t be a fumbling idiot and may actually have a few tricks up my sleeve. I would love to be able to use this space to share my results – a second time.
I still want to write but that takes time. I’ve been toying with the idea of a VLOG on YouTube. A quick recording and then up it goes. I remember when Valentina was born I was constantly exhausted and felt like shit. Now you will get to see me look like shit. Will that be a good idea? Can I find the time to keep up with it?
Oh, it’s another girl.
